(Peer-to-Peer Voucher Transfers & Requests)

This Fluxio Exchange Policy governs the use of the Fluxio Exchange feature, which enables registered FluxioPay users to send, receive, and request voucher value between accounts using FluxioVouchers.
By using Fluxio Exchange, you agree to this policy in full. This policy applies in addition to FluxioPay’s Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Voucher Policy, and Store Gift Card Fulfilment Policy. Where there is any inconsistency, this policy prevails for Exchange-related activities.
1. What Fluxio Exchange Is (and Is Not)
Fluxio Exchange allows users to transfer voucher value between FluxioPay users using secure, time-limited transaction codes.

Fluxio Exchangedoes not involve cash transfers

FluxioPayis not a bank, deposit-taking institution, or electronic money issuer
-
Voucher valuecannot be converted into cash
-
Exchange transactions represent voucher value transfers only
Fluxio Exchange may be used to:
-
gift voucher value to another user; or
-
settle obligations for goods or services outside of FluxioPay, where permitted by law and mutual agreement between users.
2. Eligible Users
To use Fluxio Exchange:
-
you must be a registered FluxioPay user;
-
you must have at least one active FluxioVoucher with sufficient balance; and
-
your account must not be suspended, restricted, or under investigation.
Group account rules:
-
only authorised users may initiate Exchange actions;
-
group permissions apply as configured on the account.
3. Exchange Transaction Types
3.1 Request Voucher (Receive)
A user may:
-
request a specific voucher value (in ZAR, including cents);
-
generate asecure, random 10-character alphanumeric code;
-
share the code with another FluxioPay user.
The requesting user does not receive value until the code is fulfilled.
3.2 Fulfil Request (Send)
The sender:
-
enters the 10-character code provided by the requester;
-
reviews a confirmation screen showing:
-
requested amount,
-
applicable fee,
-
recipient details;
-
-
selects which FluxioVoucher to send from (if multiple exist);
-
completes the transaction if sufficient balance is available.
Once fulfilled:
-
the sender’s voucher balance is reduced; and
-
the recipient’s voucher balance increases instantly.
3.3 Create Voucher (Initiate Payment)
A user may:
-
initiate a voucher transfer without a prior request;
-
generate a secure code linked to a specified value;
-
share the code with any FluxioPay user.
Generated codes remain unused until redeemed or expired.
3.4 Receive Voucher (Redeem Code)
The recipient:
-
enters the code under Fluxio Exchange → Receive Voucher;
-
confirms the amount shown;
-
receives voucher value instantly if the code is valid.
4. Fees
-
A 0.5% Exchange fee applies per completed Exchange transaction.
-
Fees are deducted from the sender’s voucher balance.
-
Fees arenon-refundable.
-
No fee applies to failed, expired, or cancelled requests.
5. Transaction Limits
To ensure platform stability and compliance:
-
Maximum per transaction: R5,000.00
-
Monthly combined send/receive limit per user: R49,999.99
-
Insufficient balance: transactions will be blocked and not created
Exchange codes will not be generated if the sender lacks sufficient balance to cover:
amount + applicable Exchange fee
6. Code Security & Expiry
-
All Exchange codes:
-
are randomly generated;
-
are cryptographically secured;
-
expire 24 hours after creation.
-
-
Expired or used codes cannot be reused.
-
FluxioPay does not store plain-text codes after creation.
You are responsible for sharing codes securely.
7. Transaction Finality
Once an Exchange transaction is successfully completed:
-
it isfinal and irreversible;
-
voucher balances are adjusted immediately;
-
FluxioPay cannot reverse the transaction unless legally required.
8. Exchange Transaction History
FluxioPay records full Exchange history, including:
-
date and time;
-
transaction type (Request / Fulfil / Create);
-
amount and fee;
-
net change;
-
voucher used;
-
counterparty name and email (where applicable);
-
user-provided reference.

9. References & Record-Keeping

Both sender and recipient may add references for personal tracking.

References are for user convenience only and do not alter transaction validity.
10. User Responsibility & Risk
You are solely responsible for:
-
verifying recipient identity before sending voucher value;
-
ensuring codes are shared intentionally;
-
safeguarding your login credentials.
FluxioPay will not be liable for losses resulting from:
-
user negligence;
-
incorrect recipient selection;
-
shared or compromised credentials;
-
voluntary transfers made by the account holder.
11. Fraud Prevention & Monitoring
FluxioPay actively monitors Exchange activity.
We may:
-
delay, suspend, or reject transactions;
-
temporarily restrict accounts;
-
request verification;
-
report suspicious activity where legally required.
12. Disputes Between Users
FluxioPay is not a party to disputes between users arising from Exchange transactions.
For groups (e.g. stokvels, social clubs), FluxioPay strongly recommends:
-
a written constitution governing Exchange usage;
-
signatures from all members.
FluxioPay will only intervene if required by law or court order.
13. No Guarantees of Goods or Services
Fluxio Exchange does not guarantee:
-
delivery of goods or services outside FluxioPay;
-
quality, legality, or performance of off-platform transactions.
Exchange merely facilitates voucher value movement.

15. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
